Kevi began a remarkable show this past Monday evening. We are so glad to have him on our team. We wanted to give you an opportunity to get to know him a bit. Here is what he has to say:
Where is the best places you have traveled Why were they your
I was 36 years old when I lost my sight. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis later and cannot walk, so I am basically housebound but, before I lost my site my two favorite places were the Rocky mountains of Colorado, and a small lake in Northwestern Ontario named Nungesser Lake, which is about 30 miles north of the northern most town in Western Ontario. The things I found so appealing about both of these places were the peacefulness, the solitude and the wildlife.
What is your favorite kind of music and what artists inspire you?
My favorite music is country music. I love Jim Reeves Boyce. Currently my favorite performers are Josh Turner, Clay Walker, Alan Jackson, Blake Shelton, and George Strait.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I’m a hard-core country songwriter and have copyrighted quite a few songs but, I’ve never presented any of them to publishers for release so I guess you’d call it a hobby. I’m guessing that this does not,,, come as a shock but, Coincidently, most of my songs have been love songs. Imagine that
I am also an advanced class amateur radio operator.
Why did you want to be a DJ?
It gives me a good opportunity to promote country music, and I like the idea of helping Ocean Waves Radio.
What are your favorite foods?
I like spicy foods, and Mexican and Italian foods are my two favorites.
In Mexican fruit my favorite is beef enchiladas, and my favorite Italian foods are spaghetti with meatballs and lasagna.
Do you have a favorite color? If so what is it and why or what does it
remind you of?
My favorite color has always been blue. I don’t know that it reminds me of anything but blue is a very mild color, and though some people might disagree, I am a mild person, as is evidenced by the fact that I write mostly love songs.
