Denny is excited about bringing his show to Ocean Wave Radio and will stay with the format that has become very popular on his local radio station.  Hymns In Color will combine Gospel songs from the past and Popular hymns by various artists in many different arrangements.  His show also includes what he calls, the Story Behind the Song.  A brief account of why a particular song was written and then play that song performed by a different artist each week.

Meet the DJ

Gospel music and broadcasting has been an interest of Denny Huff’s since he was a teenager.  Taking on the responsibility of recording his church’s radio program on an open reel 4 track recorder at the age of 17 began a life-long love for him.

Being blinded in a work accident at the age of 24 didn’t hold him back from pursuing what he loved doing.  He started a Gospel music group just a couple of years after he lost his sight and the traveled the Midwest for over 10 years bringing the Gospel in song to many different churches and venues.

In 1990 he once again began broadcasting Gospel music on a local radio station in Washington MO called the Songs Of Zion.  As his listening audience began to age along with him, he began to change his format to a more of a traditional format which included Gospel songs and hymns in a variety of styles and renditions.  He also changed the name of his broadcast show to, Hymns In Color and still hosts that show today.
