The best thing about DJing on Ocean Waves Radio, is an opportunity to explore new opportunities and a chance at learning something new that I love doing.
What are your top three favorite songs and why?
My top three favorite songs are, “Paralyzed by Big Time Rush.” I love this song because, it shows that a pop group can perform other styles of music like rock. Also, whenever I listen to this song, my head is rocking along to the song.
“In Case You Didn’t Know by Brett Young.” I love this song, by the music sounding Smoove and gentle. The song’s message is Young, sharing his feelings for the one for him. Even though that I listen to more pop songs than country, “In Case You Didn’t Know” is my favorite. This is a type of country song, that I could cover on my YouTube channel Talented H.V.
“ME by Taylor Swift, (Feat. Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disko) I love this song, by how the message tells the listener that no one can find anyone like the artist. Swift says that no one is anyone like her. The best thing about this song, is the confidence level is very high up. The importance of this song, is to feel good about yourself as a human being. Like I do. No one can love you more then you love yourself.
Another DJ wants to know if could throw a pie at someone’s face, what kind of pie would it be and who’s face would you choose and why?
I would throw a chocolate cream pie, at my friend Chris. I would throw a chocolate cream pie at my friend Chris’s face, just to mess with him. After all, we do treat each other like siblings.
Besides playing music for a purpose, what are some of your other hobbies?
Some of my other hobbies consist of writing my own books and plays, doing song covers on my YouTube channel and writing my own original songs. My originals are mainly about love, relationships or anything you could think of. I cover songs from the late 90s from 1995 till now. The stories and plays that I write, are all fiction. The ideas of the plots of my stories and plays are different every time. They could be love stories, mysteries or anything in between.
What is your favorite meal?
My favorite meal consist of cheeseburgers or hot dogs, along with some French fries and my favorite vegetable green beans.
What made you decide to become a DJ?
Funny story! I was chatting with one of the other DJ’s on a social media platform making jokes about me being a DJ. That conversation turned from a joke to a serious and well thought out decision. I began thinking about the opportunity of being a DJ when my friend was discussing the station on his YouTube channel with the station manager and another DJ. I was in the live chat that day, and was thinking about how cool it would be to be a DJ. I filled out the DJ application on the website and had received a call, not that long after. Look at me now, I’m a DJ on Ocean Waves Radio. I really enjoy my show Poppin It on the Sea. I play music that I enjoy for others. This is a great opportunity and I’m glad that I thought about and took the chance to become a DJ.
